Visitors descended upon Northeast Iowa Community College Thursday for the Annual NICC Fall Fest. Drawing attention right as the event opened, Gundersen Air made a dramatic landing on the campus. Calmar will see “Sounds of Summer” Wednesday, July 17, and Wednesday, Aug. 14. Woodshed Reboot will provide music for the July event, beginning at 6:15 p.m. in the park by the pool. The music will continue until 8:15 p.m. The full article appears in the Calmar Courier.

The solemn sound of Taps was joined a moment after its start by the ringing of the bells of St. Luke Catholic Church. The speakers could not have timed it much more perfectly.
