Changes Will Affect Agriculture

David Lawstuen sees agriculture evolving, both in the short term and in the long term.

The instructor has taught for 22 years at Northeast Iowa Community College. “Agriculture in Northeast Iowa is evolving as we move to 2020 and beyond,” said Lawstuen. “Our farm families are considering the adaption of new technologies, enhancing their utilization of capital and labor, or perhaps processing and [selling straight] to the consumer. Ag education at Northeast Iowa Community College will mirror this evolution.”

Lawstuen commented on the future.
