Kerri Johannsen, energy program director for the Iowa Environmental Council, is part of Midwest Energy News’ “40 Under 40” list.

The program spotlights “emerging leaders throughout the Midwest for their work on the nation’s transition to a clean energy economy,” according to an emailed release Aug. 28 from the Iowa Environmental Council.

Johannsen is the daughter of Ken and Polly Haskovec, and her grandparents are Frank and Pauline Bouska.

With the family from the Protivin area, she attended Holy Trinity and then Howard-Winn.
