Lavender Fields Now Open

An inn is among the newest businesses for Calmar.

After months of remodeling at the former Calmar Guest House, Lavender Fields Inn has taken in its first customers, owner Barb Breza said Aug. 1 by phone.

The name comes from an interest of owner Jeff in planting lavender. The two acre property will provide ample space for that.

With 6 ½ months of construction behind them, the owners have the house in working order. Four rooms are available currently.
