Parishes Will See New Face

Four area churches will be joined by a young man soon to be ordained as a deacon.

“Archbishop Jackels always says that seminarians are like garlic and incense, more is better!” said the Rev. Robert Gross. “We are blessed to have Deacon Tyler Raymond with us for the summer. He will join Deacon Dan O’Brien and me in the ministry of preaching the Word of God and serving His holy people. He will be ordained on May 25th and in that ordination he will make his promise of celibacy and promise to pray for the Church by celebrating the Liturgy of the Hours. So he is going to get his feet wet with us. We are blessed to have him!”

Raymond will start May 30, the Rev. Gross noted.

Here he will serve at St. Aloysius in Calmar, St. Francis de Sales in Ossian, St. Wenceslaus in Spillville and Our Lady of Seven Dolors in Festina.
