Reform Legislation Draws Reaction

A piece of legislation in Congress seeks to make an impact on the criminal justice system.

The First Step Act has the support of nearly one-fourth of the senate, information from the office of Senator Charles Grassley by email Nov. 27 noted.

Grassley is a supporter as is Joni Ernst.

Also supporting the act are President Donald Trump, 172 former prosecutors at the federal level, the Fraternal Order of Police and other government officials.
