A South Winneshiek FFA student is going to state.

Hanna Schmitt is heading for state after her performance March 10 in the Northeast District Leadership Development Events or LDE’s hosted at Waukon, according to information provided by South Winneshiek 9-12 Agriculture Education Teacher/FFA Adviser Melissa Hageman by email March 18.

Schmitt earned Gold in Extemporaneous Speaking.

She will compete at the Iowa FFA Leadership Conference in Ames at the end of April.
