South Winn Trap Team shows off their shooting

The South Winneshiek Trapshooting Team has been hitting the range and getting a lot of shooting practice and competition done lately.

On Tuesday, April 1, they competed against Waverly and Turkey Valley and on Saturday, they competed in two different meets including the New Hampton Invite and then hosted the South Winn Invite.

In both meets, SW’s “Black Team” placed 3rd as a team. At the NH Invite, their total was 206 and at the SW Invite they raised their total to 217. Members of the black team are Dallas Bohr, Ben Hanson, Joseph Buchheit, Josiah Baker and Trey Bauers.

Joseph Buchheit was the top boy shooter for SW and placed first on the boys’ side in the meet at New Hampton with a final score of 48.

Leah Elsbernd grabbed first for the girls of SW and for the girls’ side of the meet at South Winn hitting a total of 45.
