South Winn VB Continuing Fight

The Warriors faced Central at Elkader as they went 1-3 to open the week.

“Another hard fought battle that left us just short of a win,” said South Winneshiek coach Glenna Munuswamy by email Sept. 26.  “The season is becoming one of “what ifs?” If we took all of our close battles this year and were able to flip them into wins, our record would show how well the girls are playing.  We have to learn to play as a team and to fight for every point.  We are letting sets get [way] out of reach before we start playing our best.”

The end of the season is approaching.

“Our focus needs to become one of mixing-up our offense and reducing kill errors if we want to be in the top three of our conference,” said Munuswamy.  “We will have to win out the rest of our conference matches if we hope to attain this goal and we have some tough matches ahead of us with West Central and MFL-Mar-Mac both playing really well this year.”
