With a matter of weeks to go before the election date, voting has already begun for the June 5 primary, according to an email, May 7, from the Iowa Secretary of State’s office.

Absentee ballots must be requested by May 25 by mail and must have a June 4 postmark with receipt in the county auditor’s office June 11 by noon, the email noted.
