Warren Stresses Public Spending

Deficit spending is not a bad thing, candidate Elizabeth Warren said Friday.

Appearing at Mabe’s in front of mostly Luther College students, Warren noted her own college career.

Other people “invested” in her, Warren said.

Repeatedly, Warren referred to the “wealthy” and noted the potential for what additional taxation could do.

Student loans and gun safety were noted by Warren. She also referred to climate change “bearing down on us.”

Strengthening union power was a key theme for Warren. She also called for a constitutional voting amendment.
