Free Throw Contest Held

Students enjoyed shooting hoops at the annual Knights of Columbus Free Throw Contest held at the Turkey Valley multi-purpose gym Tuesday, Jan. 16. The Knights of Columbus councils in Protivin and St. Lucas joined together to host this contest for students in the Turkey Valley area ages 9 to 14.

Students competed by gender and age group, with the winner being determined by who made the most out of 15 shots. Several groups had to go to a shoot off to determine the winner, by who can make the best out of 10 additional shots. The winners for each level will go onto the regional contest at the old Valley High School gym in Clermont Feb. 18 where they will compete for additional prizes and the right to go on to the state contest.
