A South Winneshiek runner has broken the record for the 200-meter.

Ellie Loesch ran a 25.35, besting a 2006 performance by Ivy Elsbernd, according to information provided Wednesday by South Winneshiek coach Kevin Kearney.

Loesch also took first place in the 100-meter dash with a time of 12.11. Clayton Ridge’s Haley Heitman (12.57) had second place. Central’s Gabbi Lenth (13.01) had third place.

In the 200-meter, Heitman (26.39) had second place, and Central’s Mary Kate Wille (27.11) had third place.
