The Warriors have had a first taste of conference action, noted assistant coach Mike Wenthold.

“I felt like we lost our composure a couple of times in the 6th, and compounded a few mistakes, but fortunately we had played very solid baseball up until then, and afterwards, as well,” said Wenthold by email May 31. “We were very disciplined at the plate, aggressive on the base paths, and our pitching was very good all the way around.”
