South Winneshiek senior Alyssa Hertges has signed to join the Hawkeye RedTails Volleyball team for its inaugural season in fall 2018.

During her senior season with the South Winneshiek Warriors, Hertges spent her time on the court as a defensive specialist, playing 87 games and racking up six kills, one error in 15 attempts (.333%), five assists, and 101 digs, while going 8/10 serving (80%).

“Adding Alyssa to our RedTail Volleyball family is exciting news,” said RedTails head coach Scott Weston. “Alyssa is a quite a leader who gives 110% all the time and will do anything she’s asked to do. She comes from great coaching, a very solid program, and has an extremely good fundamental volleyball base.”
