Turkey Valley Women Getting Ready

Carla Nymeyer is in her sixth year of coaching with an overall record of 99-26 and will be assisted by Justin Bakula in his fifth year and volunteer Haley Kriener in her first year.

Last year, the Turkey Valley women had a record of 14-10 and went third in the Upper Iowa Conference with a record of 8-4.

“We will need to fill the shoes of our graduated seniors that were a huge part in creating a successful program,” said Nymeyer. “Four of last year’s starters graduated so our line up and rotations could vary a lot before we find the right combination and consistency throughout the season.”

Losses to graduation include Emily Busta (All Regional, First Team Conference, 12 ppg, 3.8 rpg), Elli Winter (Second Team Conference, 12.1 ppg, 4.7 rpg), Kassidy Reicks (Conference Honorable Mention, 3 ppg, 3.9 rpg) and Lydia Schuchhardt (1.2 ppg, 3 rpg).
