Winneshiek County Record for Non-typical Bow

At 5 a.m. on Veterans Day, November 11, as the snow was gently coming down, Kyle Falck of Decorah was already waiting quietly in his tree stand high above. Soon he was watching the beautiful surreal scene unfold in front of him. As daybreak arrived, he spotted the big buck strolling close by below him north of Decorah. The adrenaline was pumping, as the trophy buck of a lifetime was right below him only ten yards away. Quieting his nerves, he raised his bow that he got from his girlfriend Keegan Frana last Christmas and steadily aimed. Down went the 23 point 244" non typical buck! After tagging the big buck, he called an official who measured his harvest as Winneshiek County non typical bow record! His parents are Willie and Holly Falck of Decorah. Kyle was hunting with friend Jarrod Dawley from Bluffton on his first morning of his first day out hunting this year! Kyle, 31, has hunted since he was a little boy. He shot 180" deer last year. What a beauty, congratulations for bagging the big one, Kyle Falck!
