Robert Maxson

Robert (Bob) P. Maxson, born Dec. 14, 1948, in Richfield, Minnesota, and died May 17, 2024, in Lansing. He was a dedicated educator and administrator. He graduated from Richfield High School in 1967 and earned an MBA from Eastern Illinois University. Bob’s career centered on community college education at NICC in Iowa and CCCC in KS, as a teacher, college president, dean and vice-president.

He retired in 2014 to Lansing. Bob was known for his integrity, compassion and support for students and community projects. He is survived by his wife Susan; children Erin (Jesse) Kiene and Michael; step-sons Andrew and Aaron and seven grandchildren and two sisters: Polly (Doug) Bingham and Barb Hauri.
