Calmar city officials are continuing to ponder regulations on solar power installations and looking at the possibility of all railroad crossings in the city gated.
Councilmen T.J. Schissel and Keith Gerleman were given the committee assignment to look into the issue for Calmar.
No action has been taken so far for the city, but city officials want to avoid eyesore installations.
Action at the Oct. 5 meeting of the Winneshiek County Board of Supervisors was referenced with that body also looking at regulating solar installations.
