For the first time in South Winneshiek history, both boys and girls finished first at District in the same season with Friday’s state qualifying meet, clinching District titles and a shot at state.
Jamison Meyer claimed second at 17:40 to top South Winneshiek boys.
“This has been a challenging year for kids everywhere,” said Coach Scott Conway. “For student athletes, their seasons, goals, and hard work have been at the mercy of things out of their control.”
Students had to work hard.
