A Fayette County project will be one of six across Iowa utilizing federal funding for
new techniques, a move that allows for needed work for the county while seeking to
stay within tight budget constraints.
The effort joins a Winneshiek County project completed earlier this year.
Collaborating with the Federal Highway Administration and the Iowa Department of
Transportation, Fayette County will be a test site for Ultra High Performance
