Earl Schmitt, 87, of Johnston, (formerly of St. Lucas) died Nov. 18 at MercyOne Des Moines Medical Center.
Mass of Christian Burial was set for 10:30 a.m. Monday, Nov. 22, at St. Luke Catholic Church in St. Lucas with burial in the church cemetery and visitation from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 21 at Schluter-Balik Funeral Home French Chapel, 202 South Washington St. in Calmar and also from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service Monday at the church.
