Coop Project Clears Hurdle

A contentious issue came back before the Winneshiek County Board of Supervisors as a zoning request for a Farmers Win Coop expansion was up for consideration again.
Since the issue first came up, input has been solicited.
Supervisor Gary Rustad said he had reached out to Turkey Valley Superintendent Jay Jurrens and Fort Atkinson Fire Chief Ron Franzen, who both did not take a position on either opposing or supporting. Rustad noted that Franzen did say that the department does have training for just this kind of a situation and trains for it regularly.
