A recent drubbing might not have made it seem so, but the weather so far for the season has been ultimately mild.
Rural Decorah had four inches, typical for the area with Hawkeye also at four inches and rural Randalia and Fredericksburg at 4.5 inches while southern Fayette County went up to five inches, putting most residents in the four to five inches category from the latest batch of bad weather.
That is far better than central Iowa saw with 12.9 inches at the Des Moines office of the National Weather Service.
