Regional jobs totals mostly beat the state average as lockdown unemployment highs continue to fade.
Iowa’s unemployment rate, down to 3.6 percent, was bested by much of northeast Iowa.
Chickasaw and Howard counties were among the best for the region at 3 percent, followed closely by Allamakee County at 3.1 percent and Winneshiek County with 3.2 percent.
Mitchell County was among the best in the state at 2.1 percent while Black Hawk County’s 5.1 percent was at the higher end.
