Fans turning out for the first football game of the season were in for a treat with substantial upgrade work at the Turkey Valley football field.
“So the boosters have been spearheading the fundraising efforts for this project,” said Jen Kurtenbach, treasurer for the Turkey Valley Athletic Boosters. “Our first phase in the project was the football bleachers.”
The bleachers got a workout recently against Riceville as fans tested out the first phase of the effort.
