The Warriors were set to play Tuesday at 7 p.m. at home in the second round of tournament after a win at home at the quarterfinal level with South Winneshiek’s prospects for post-season glory looking quite rosy at 22-1 for a record.
The victory clinched a successful week for the team with the Warriors now going up against Edgewood-Colesburg.
After clinching the Upper Iowa Conference title, South Winneshiek started the week by finally encountering one loss for the season as the team went 8-4 against Saint Ansgar.
