Anna Magdalene Halverson, 77, of New Hampton, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, Oct. 27, 2022 at her home.

Anna was born Oct. 6, 1945 to John and Anna Maria Drosse in Rhaunen, Germany, where she grew up with her nine brothers and sisters, and throughout her life, she was exceptionally close to her siblings. Sundays was designated for phone calls with her family.

Marie Blong, 83, of Fort Atkinson, passed away Oct. 24 at Aase Haugen Senior Services in Decorah.

Mass of Christian Burial was set for 11 a.m. Oct. 31 at the St. Luke Catholic Church- 215 East Main St. in St. Lucas with burial in the St. Luke Cemetery and visitation from 9:30 a.m. until the Mass.

Rosaria Einck, 94, of Festina, Iowa, died Oct. 15, 2022, at Winneshiek Medical Center in Decorah.

Rosaria Barbara (Wurzer) Einck was the ninth child born to Barbara (Kuennen) Wurzer and Konrad Wurzer Dec. 22, 1927, to a family of twelve children. She was baptized in her faith by the late Monsignor Schuh, of St. Lucas, and received her education by attending St. Luke’s grade school and high school. After graduation she worked as a nurse aide at St. Francis hospital in La Crosse, Wisconsin, and as a “hired girl” around home for a few years.

Mass of Christian Burial was set for 10:30 a.m. Sept. 9, at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in Spillville with burial in the church cemetery and visitation from 4:30 to 7 p.m. Sept. 8 at the church and after 9:30 a.m. Sept. 9.
